Secrete of Our Happy Married Life….

Read an article on marriage and triggered me to write this….

Ours is arranged marriage. In case of arranged marriage as we all are aware we meet multiple prospective grooms or brides, talk to them and obviously judge them if he or she can be your perfect match. To do so you first need to know yourself well and then evaluate whether you can get along with the other person. This is what I think as I don’t believe in love at first sight. I really wonder if there is something called of love. I feel if you can respect other you automatically love that person and that was my criterion of match making. You should have some common things to spend your time together. You should have common values and beliefs.
I was against spending lot of money on ceremony, I had wish to donate that amount to Indian Army But this is my unfulfilled wish. The clothes, jewelry, make up were not the things that mattered to both of us. We were more than happy with whatever we gifted to each other. We were more interested in knowing and understanding each other because that’s what going to help us to last our relationship. We were busy making future plans, finding our new home. Sachin was looking for new home as per my preferences that was making me more comfortable with him. We both don’t believe in cast or religion. We were frank with each other. I was able to express my thoughts with him freely that’s what mattered to me.
Since then till today we never gave more importance on gifts, flowers, etc. We see to it we spend time together in activities that both of us like. He helps me in cooking sometimes, we go for walk together. I have developed of new hobby of trekking and walking on trails with him. I think for married couples its necessary to develop common interest which you both can enjoy. We make efforts to make each other happy. Our marriage has brought best out of us. We plan for future together and have common goals in life. That binds us tight.

I will always pray for we to be same forever.

Monsoon Trek to Diksal Waterfall

Monsoon season starts around first week of June in Konkan region of Maharashtra. My most favorite season as it takes all heat away from the atmosphere. Dust from Surrounding plant, buildings roads is washed away. Everything appears to be clean and new. Plants are more green. Sahyadri ranges are covered with lush greenery everywhere, cloud cover top of the mountains. These changes in surrounding call for monsoon outings.
This year we planned to go on trek with cousins to Diksal Waterfall with Vranger trekking group. This is adventurous trek comprising of water rappelling at the waterfall.
Saturday, 7th July 2018, morning we caught train at 4:10 to Dadar station from Andheri. We were a group of about 10-12 people including youngest trekker of age 6 yrs old coming from various places from Mumbai. All were excited and geared up. We all gathered at Dadar and boarded train to Kasara. Needless to say fun started the moment then. We reached Bhivpuri station around 8:00 am and met the trekking group. We started trek around 8:30 am after having breakfast and introductory session.
The trek was about 1.5 hrs of walk to reach to waterfall. It was raining heavily. That is what we wanted to trek in rain. We were walking on trails. Wherever we could see we were seeing only greenery. Sahyadri ranges were covered in green and we could see springs everywhere, clouds coming down and covering mountains. We passed many springs on the way. Must to mention the youngest trekker was the best trekker of the group. He was enjoying climbs, jumping in water and super fast. We reached the destination. The trekker gave instructions about how to do rappelling.
As it was raining heavily the waterfall had heavy water flow. The instructors waited till flow was reduced. All the enthusiastic people enjoyed rappelling except me and Sachin as we found it was too adventurous for us. I get scared of heights. So to reach to top of the waterfall itself was conquering my fear. We had food after everyone completed their rappelling and started return back around 5:00pm. Again descending trek was tougher task for me. It was great experience to do it successfully.
This was my third monsoon trek and look forward to do many more.
