My Inspiration My Idol - Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar

Dilse would not complete if I don’t blog about What is Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar for me. I am not going to write about Sachin’s game or his records, you can anytime anywhere will get to read about it but just why is he Idol for me.
I was thinking of writing this since I started blogging but somehow it wasn’t coming Dilse. Yesterday he achieved one more title of highest run getter in test matches and I thought this could be the right occasion to salute the Wonder Boy.
Well I was never cricket lover till I had not seen little master batting. Sachin had debut in international cricket when he was just 16. I was just aware of this fact but not actually watched him playing. One of my friends in school was crazy for this wonder boy and I got curious to see his game. The first series I watched in 1991 sharjah series which we lost against Pakis and Sanjay Manjrekar was declared man of the series. And here onwards one more person got added to Indian cricket lovers.
After Sharjah, Indian team went on a tour to Australia followed by 1992 world cup. And Tendlya was at his best in these tournaments. News papers were flooded with the articles praising master blaster saying Sachin should bat on number 1 to 10. He was just 18 then. India lost both the series and the world cup but I had fallen in love with cricket and Sachchu:). I still remember, my 10th board exam was on and instead of last minute preparations I used to watch every ball of delivered till I leave home for my exam.
Here onwards I started reading every bit of Indian cricket, Sachin, Sanjay Manjrekar, Kapil Dev, Vinod Kambli. I started reading magazines like sports star, sports world, marathi magazine by Sandeep Patil – Shatkar..what not. I also read one Hindi magazine don’t remember the name now but I had bought it since it has some article on Sachin, I guess that’s the only one which I read in Hindi:).
His Dedication, Determination, Hardwork inspired me to be more serious, little ambitious in my studies. I had pasted Sachin’s poster in front of my seat near my study table. He was motivation for me, if Sachin can do at 16 why cant I. I just wanted (rather still would love) to be 0.01% like him.
The unique thing about him is even after being so successful, famous, rich at such a early age he is so humble so down to earth. He doesn’t get into controversies. There is no man who talks ill about him. He is God’s son to be loved by everyone. He is God to many. He is man with strong values. He exercises his vote whenever he is in country during elections. Please someone let me know one incident when he misbehaved, over reacted. He still enjoys cricket, he is still as sincere on ground as he used to be. What else one can expect from a man. For me he is the best example of great human and Indian citizen.
The wildest dream I have in my life is Sachin would know me personally:)
Hats off to this Son of India.

Here are few pics of him from my collection

Beauty : Boon or Curse

This is one real story I heard it from one of my friends. The story is from Orisa. The story is of a beautiful girl from his collage. Lets name the girl Neelam.
Neelam was extraordinarily beautiful girl from middle class family studying MCA course. She was as good at her heart as she was by her looks. When she was in her final year she announced in her class that she got engaged. The proposal was from very rich well known family in the town, the family was also having some political background. Obviously everyone was very happy to know this news. From very next day Neelam started coming in a car. The driver used to wait for her till her class gets over.
And finally the D date arrived. Everyone in the class was invited for the marriage. This was the first marriage of their classmates. They reached at the wedding place with lots of enthusiasm. Their eyes were searching for the lucky chap, Mr Groom. And everyone got shock to see the groom. Few of the girls (closed friends of Neelam) started crying. Boys were confused and didn’t know how to handle their crying girl friends in wedding.
The groom was very old to the bride. Everyone was in dilemma as they should be happy for the bride as she is going to be part of the very rich and well known family or they should be sad for she is getting married to not at all good looking, older guy. The girls started crying thinking the pressure the girl and her family might have felt to say yes for this proposal as the family has political background. If they had said No to them the girl would have been in the worse situation. In short, wo log use utha le jaate.
Now friends tell me, is Beauty boon or curse?

Once again Chetan Bhagat struck : The 3 mistakes of my life

To me this is the best book Chetan Bhagat have written till now.
As it’s a story of a young man who committed suicide, it’s a tragic story.
As the name suggest its about mistakes the man made in his life, its about business, cricket and religion.
Its about passion, friendship.
You get to know more about Gujrath, thinking style of people in Gujrath, how passionate they are about their religion.
The book narrates the pains the Gujrath had gone through during Bhuj Earthquake, Godhra riots, everything is unimaginable.
I literally cried while reading this book.

One Night @ The Call Center

Amazing book by Chetan Bhagat, I liked it more than ‘Five Point Someone’. Most of the people liked ‘Five Point Someone’ than this one.

For me the hero of this book is the activist character Varun known as Vroom in his friend circle. I could relate to this character more as I could see Vroom in me. His thought are very much similar to mine.
The guy earlier used to work as journalist trainee. His famous piece was called ‘Why Don’t Politicians Commit Suicide?’. The article said All kind of people commit suicide – students, housewives, businessmen, even film stars – but politicians never do. Vroom’s point was that Suicide is very horrible think to do and one does only because he is badly hurt. But Politicians don’t do. So basically this country is run by the people who don’t feel anything.
I am amazingly impressed with this thought, till now I never thought of this.
This guy is constantly thinking about how India will overtake US, how the living standards will improve in India and how can I contribute to it.
The guy is confused between how much importance he should give to money.. I mean what he should do just think about earning money or doing something which will help his countrymen.
The author has basically shown the problems faced by Indian youth who have just come out of collages and joined the Industry and facing the life. They have dreams in their eyes but realizing the heat in life. They come across with manager who is a loser and how is he ruining the others life in process of making his own.
There is one more character Shyam who is having affair with Priyanka and is almost about to lose her, rather have lost her but at the end gets her back.
The story talks about friendship.
So the story covers almost all the possible problems that young crowd can face in their life.

The story will sound boring but Chetan Bhagat has written it in such a beautiful and funny way, the story is all about enthusiasm as its about youngsters.

The story gets a little unrealistic when they (people at call center)get call from God and the god tell them the key to success. But the author has mentioned in his prologue and epilogue the objective behind this book is – He wants to write something which tells about present Indian youth, probably he wants to guide them by telling key to success.

Friends, its worth reading this book.

Laloo is coming to Mumbai to perform Chhat Pooja

Why cant politicians think about doing some constructive work rather than this nuisance. Doesn’t he have any better think to do?
Politics is just game of numbers. No of Votes, no of seats. That’s the only think the politicians are concerned about.

I cant think of Mumbai or Maharashtra going in hands of Lalooji or Amarasingh just because the population of Upites is growing in Maharashtra. Mumbai or Maharashtra has also voted for non Maharashtrians like Jayantibai Mehta, Kirit Somaiya, etc. Maharashtrians allow people from other stats to come here and settle that doesn’t mean the political parties from other states will also be allowed to rule here.

It had happened in around sixties, Gujrath had claimed Mumbai to be part of Gujrath as Gujrathi population was more than Maharashtrian. Maharashtra had to fight for it, people have lost their lives for this. Hutatma Chowk has been built in memory of these people. I hope the history wont repeat this time.

I would love to see Lalooji and Amarsinghji getting busy in creating better opportunities, improving living standards in Bihar and UP.

Mumbai & Bangalore

Heyyy blogigng after looooooooooong time. Many of you asked me for not blogging but there was no any topic which touched my heart to blog. But today I got the topic to and it clicked this way.

The TV show on CNN IBN and topic was Bangalore vs Karnatika. The occasion was Karnataka assembly elections. As I stayed in Bangalore almost for 3 years, I guess that’s enough time to fall in love with Bangalore, how can I refrain myself from blogging.

Bangalore, the Silicon Valley of India. Yup, now Bangalore is nomore only of Karnatakas, it has become Mini India. People from all over India are coming to this city. And I think its gona face same problems as that of Mumbai. Karnatikas are worried about the changing culture of Bangalore. The fear of losing karnatika culture, fear of karnatika population leading towards minority population in Bangalore, rallies against non karnatikas. Similar things keep happening in Mumbai as well by Marathi people, Shivsena and now MNS. Bangalore is on the same line.

I really don’t know what is right and what is wrong, Mumbai has lost its identity as Marathi Mumbai long back. People from all the parts of India come here and stay together. Same way I did not face any problem being non karnatika at Bangalore. But yes, Bangalore is changing rapidly. The change is inevitable but still I feel the city should not lose its own charm.

IT city is getting young crowd in the city, most of this people are staying without family, so no family restrictions on them. Bangalore is also getting famous for night life. But unlike Mumbai unfortunately the night life in bangalore is just limited to pubs and bars. IT industry has raised the living standards but at the same time the city is getting costlier. The other industries in city should also see growth along with IT industry.

I just know people in India people should live in harmony, we should not lose our culture, identity at any cost and the same time cast, religion, language, culture should not be bars in our growth as India.
