My Definition of God

Since my collage days I was doubtful about existence of God, I used to argue with all by stating God doesn’t exists. I used to argue, its you who put effort so you get the result, if you don’t put effort you won’t get desired outcome. Universe is all about science, everything is based on science. I remember my friend had given me example saying if I was about to meet accident and somehow if I am saved won’t you believe in God and I had answered him, I will call it coincidence.
I started to find answer to my question by reading books. Mostly I read books about Swami Vivekanand and books by ‘Ramkrishna Math‘ as Swami Vivekanand also never believed in God in his childhood and as Narendra was against Murti Pooja and later he became devotee.
And now I have my own definition of God that God is human creation, its a belief. Common person needs to be hopeful all the time to live successful life, when things goes beyond ones capability he needs someone to rely on. As child we trust our parents, teacher. When we grow old probably its the concept of God that helps us to trust on and be hopeful. There is some energy because of which this universe is created and being operated, I call that energy as God and I surrender myself to it.
In many situation we don’t get answer for many of the questions like why this happened to me when I did not put any efforts. Eg. When I had put efforts, in spite of having offer letters from two companies my joining was delayed indefinitely due to recession and next year I was fortunate enough to get call form one of those company, which was my dream company although I was graduated last year and was no longer fresh passed out. And I now I call that as destiny. Destiny is inevitable. But I still have a question, is there still some logic behind destiny?
I believe in one more thing which my religion has taught me God (the universal energy) is everywhere in you, me and in every living, non-living being. So be grateful to everything. To realize this, you & God are same is liberation. You will be free then and nothing will be unachievable for you.
Sometimes I do rituals but that just because it makes me happy and auspicious. In most of Hindu religion by doing pooja, we express thankfulness to living nonliving things. You can express your gratitude in any form that’s what I believe in.
The same thing was explained by one liner definition I had found in one of the book and which I had liked, is mentioned in blog below.
What is God
